On the 12th of February 2015 the Deutsche Welle published a radio report about the “Marine Night” project. The project led by Norwegian researches investigates marine biological processes in the permanent darkness of the polar night. In January 2015 PolarTime PhD student Sören Häfker and intern Lukas Hüppe joined a cruise to the waters of Kongsfjorden in Svalbard and collected sample for analyses of diel and seasonal cycles in copepods.
